The Godsisters

For our inaugural year, we were thrilled to award a $1200.00 Fairy Godsister scholarship to Ms. Linda Lodding of the Netherlands. Linda won us over with her essay's wit and whimsy, her writing productivity, and her desire to use the opportunity at Nationals to both network and export the knowledge back home with others.

Those of us that had the chance to meet her were completely enchanted!

"Being tapped by the Fairy Godsisters as the 2008 grant winner was, in the words of Princesses prior, 'a dream come true.' Not only did the contacts I made at the SCBWI LA Conference open doors (or raise moats) into the publishing world, but also gave me a magical platform from which to launch the SCBWI Netherlands chapter. I am so grateful to this group of caring, talented and generous Fairy Godsisters!"
